definitely enjoyed the dj panel last year, although it would be awesome to see some technical displays and/or workshops as well i.e. have some of the performers do a bit of a musical showcase or something during the discussion panels.

- Classified ( i was too lazy to see his last show ) - Bless ( be interested in seeing him perform ) - DL Incognito ( don't really care for his stuff,but he's blowing up and deserves some face time ) - murs (fucking rights) Other non-canadian acts i'd like to see: - Immortal Technique - Nicolay from Foriegn Exchange DJ Set - Erika Badu (i'd fucking jizz on your tits) or some other dope soul singers. - Any rap group with a live band (don't even care who) - Planet Asia (one more time) - Pete Rock DJ set (i dare you) - GZA, RZA DJ Set, Inspectah Deck, Killah Priest, Street Life ( any ) - Some MixTape DJs - Sticky Fingaz from Onyx (aka blade, the fucker lives here) Last year was sick, i went to ?uestlove, Jedi Mind, One-Be-Lo, tickets were great prices. I would shell out $100-ish on a super pass if it would get me into any/all shows. PS. When you have a lyrisist on stage, make sure the bass doesn't overpower his voice. You sound people in Vancouver need to learn to turn that shit DOWN and turn the Mic UP. edit: someone better bring the clipse to vancouver soon too. I'm still waiting.

anyways, Cut Chemist yes! Nu Mark @ Plaza had a sweet set, bring him back. Maybe a cut chemist & numark back to back. RJD2? Other Def Jux artists? probably not since you just brought them out there. I'm kinda sad i'm missing the mr.lif show. How about some of the funk? Melting Pot Music, mpmsite.com Dj Day has had a lot of play in mixes recently. Lefties soul connection, an actual funk band with lots of influences. This would be a wicked show and i definately would goto that. Devil McDoom put out a sweet mix in feb that i can't host right. It was sweet funk and soul with some hip hop and accapellas mixed in. And yes another PUTS show should be in order since the new albulm is out and all :) Also bring back One Be Lo!

if any of the suggestions have been here in the last 18 months or so (i.e puts) - or if theyve played a past expo (i.e ab rude), i'm likely not looking, though there will be exceptions to the rule i.e...new album out, no fall touring plans, recently won awards or garnered attention etc i'll comment on people we were/ are looking at that were suggested classified: we had a slot for him, but he's postponing his tour defari: cant get across border for now...was supposed to be here with dilated cut chemist: happy to say he wont be at the expo because we've confirmed him for october!!! murs: has chosen to not do any canadian dates for a while (bad border experience) immortal tech: we had him booked in 04, but he was not allowed into the country roots manuva: has never been here, but we've been trying. he doesnt like doing shows that all said, i'll announce a headliner later today hang tight!

I thought Dizzee was a pretty good live. He's one of the Emcee who can pronounciate his words properly when on stage. 85% of Emcee's just yell. *cough* lil brother *cough* *cough* vinny pazz *cough*
I'll go see One Be Lo again. He was my fav Emcee from last year. Bring out both of Binary Star. That would be SICK. I remember him getting super pissed off at that drunk chick who ruined his last song. Ha, that was funny. Stupid rappers and not being able to come across the boarder. We miss far too many shows because of this. Someone should do a "Will rap for amnesty" tour with some sick acts right along the canadian boarder! ps. Fable, you should have brought Necro over to Mawo, i'm sure he'd go over a lot better than I.Technique.
