yeah, it might have been worth it for him. i heard some talk of the guy falling being a bit of a dive. i mean zidane headbutted him pretty hard, but it's gonna be hella hard to knock a guy over from the chest.

If the guy went down easy, it was a red card.

If he was genuinely hurt, it was a red card.

haha, oh dave. i'm not trying to draw some spectacular conclusion here. was just curious why he might have done it. obviously it's a red card if you headbutt another player (that said, portugal didn't get one vs. the netherlands). it was just an exciting moment that i wanted to talk about for a minute, ok!? just the fact that it was a headbutt makes me laugh. it just looks so awkward. well zidane did go out with a shit load of media coverage. maybe he had no faith in winning and figured well, there's nothin like ending my career with a good old fashioned headbutt!
