that's not really a feasible design, the whole touchscreen for a keypad is a receipe for disaster, touchpads just can't stand up to the abuse a cellphone keypad is put through. the thickness would also be a huge problem. I read a great article in Mobility a couple months ago about the huge pain in the ass it was to cram all the required electronics into the RAZR phone. Everything from super high-strenght casings to superstrong glass and plastics, getting a screen that size in there plus a camera, and a wheel AND another screen would end up making that phone at least 1" thick.
Apple should stay the hell away from cellphones. Lisence the wheel interface to Motorola and let the professionals have at it. |

*deep breath*
-1.3 megapixel camera & video -windows mobile 5.0 interface which does pretty much everything windows does -comes with a shitload of software including:microsoft word, outlook, powerpoint, excel, msn messenger, internet explorer, windows media player -highspeed internet access on telus EVDO network...as fast as wired broadband. -sliding backlit qwerty keyboard which is totally comfy/easy to type with (makes txting a dream!) -handy voice memo / sound recording function -infrared port for beaming info between devices -with activesync it links right up to your computer so easily...it becomes like another drive, just click and drag -bluetooth compatible -wifi function so you can use any wireless internet connection (thereby saving $$ on you data usage) -will sync with your email, calendar and address book on your computer using Exchange 2003 (eg. change your schedule on the computer and the change shows up on your phone as well) -vivid colour touch-screen -64 MB of ROM and 128 MB RAM but it has an SD expansion slot so you can go up to like 2 gigs or something I'm so happy with it. Shit, I can download a mix while I'm riding in my friend's car. I talk on msn on the skytrain. :) |

Holy Christ your phones are boring. Check out my new cell, it's the new Sony walkman W42s with 1 gb of sony memory, 1.3 mp camera/video, up to 4 gb memory card, fm tuner, voice recorder, internet, tv progamming, etc, etc. Sorry, only in Japan.

Prozac that phone is wicked, it has everything i want. I'd almost be inclined to buy it from you but the one and crippling downfall is it is Telus. Most of the world uses GSM and i don't think they have CDMA in England and through europe right? bah.

yeah you're right.
there's pros and cons to both types of network though sure you can use GSM all over the world...and sometimes it's cheaper to just buy a SIM card instead of a new phone...but it's actually more expensive to run in a country like Canada because you need more towers to cover a smaller area (that's why you'll find a marked difference in reception with telus vs rogers phones), and if your CDMA phone gets lost or stolen, you stand a far greater chance of having it returned, because it becomes useless to anyone else once it's flagged stolen. but yeah, if you want to take it travelling, CDMA is not the best choice. |
