Barbecue Season
Barbecue Season Is Here!
After the long months of cold and winter, we are now in summer and BBQ season. Therefore it is important to refresh your memory on the etiquette of this sublime outdoor cooking as it's the only type of cooking a real man will do, probably because there is an element of danger involved. When a man volunteers to do the BBQ the following chain of events are put into motion: Routine... 1) The woman buys the food. 2) The woman makes the salad, prepares the vegetables, and makes dessert. 3) The woman prepares the meat for cooking, places it on a tray along with the necessary cooking utensils and sauces, and takes it to the man who is lounging beside the grill - beer in hand. Here comes the important part: 4) THE MAN PLACES THE MEAT ON THE GRILL. More routine.... 5) The woman goes inside to organize the plates and cutlery. 6) The woman comes out to tell the man that the meat is burning. He thanks her and asks if she will bring another beer while he deals with the situation. Important again: 7) THE MAN TAKES THE MEAT OFF THE GRILL AND HANDS IT TO THE WOMAN. More routine..... 8) The woman prepares the plates, salad, bread, utensils, napkins, sauces and brings them to the table. 9) After eating, the woman clears the table and does the dishes. And most important of all: 10) Everyone PRAISES the MAN and THANKS HIM for his cooking efforts. 11) The man asks the woman how she enjoyed "her night off." And, upon seeing her annoyed reaction, concludes that there's just no pleasing some women.... Editor's Note: While apparently written by a woman, (perhaps even one that does not appreciate the skill that is required for successful barbecuing) this appears to be fairly accurate. |

lol! dude, thats fucking hilarious! and as for the whole bbqing thing... yeah women are meant to do that shit. I know I'm probably going to get alot of flack from the chicks on this board for saying this, but I like traditional girls.. the ones that WANT to stay home and raise the kids, cook, clean. I'll make the money and support. I would never ask a chick who didnt have these beleifs to do it.. but there ARE still some chicks out there that wanna be the stay at home mom type. I'm not like that. But there's nothing I can do to prove it and I know you women are fickle with trusting guys. I grew up with 4 sisters so.. I know. You're just watching out for yourselves. I know. |

There are some women who are all about staying at home and some men who are all about being the sole member bringing home the bacon. It doesnt bother me if thats what works for them. On the other hand divorce rates are just too high these days. And it seems the more of a norm it becomes... the easyer ppl head in that direction then trying to sort out their problems. With the cost of living going up... wether your male or female you should probly be ready to at least support your self and your kids with out relying on anyone else. It's reality not opion on tradition or sex. Last edited by Ree Fresh; Aug 03, 06 at 11:35 PM. |

huh, when i barbecue (which i do often) i do all the prep, all the cooking, all the serving and usually all the clean up too. i usually just let my girl kick back & relax while i take care of the food cause she works long hours & deserves some chill time... plus i love to cook, it puts me in a very relaxed headspace so it's good for everybody. i think if i let my gf barbecue we'd both be residing in the burn ward by now, if the food poisoning didn't get us first.

It's a good thing I dont believe in devorce. You make a promise, you keep it. Even if you have to stand on hot coal the rest of your life. It a commitment, man.. why do it if you dont mean it? |

What if your spouse starts beating you after 2 years of marriage? Or even worse, what if he/she starts beating your kids? Of course, marriage shouldn't be taken lightly, and one shouldn't get married if they can foresee a potential divorce, but there are circumstances in which it's quite valid. |
