lcd over plasma is simple.
lcd's dont burn. even with the new 'anti burn' technology on plasmas, i'm still not overly impressed. but yes to see the true value of lcds you would need hd. and winston, what is a 3 ft deep tv gonna look like mounted on a wall? ass...... |

The thing is that an LCD over 32" will have inconsistant backlight brightness....no matter how high end the panel. Plasma's affer better color and brightness.
If you want to go bigger then 32" then make sure you really check out the backlight brightness consitancy. |

not neccesarily true... the average burn life of a plasma tv is about 60000 hr which would mean you would have to watch your plasma tv 24 hrs a day for 2500 days for it to burn out!!! Now for the average person who watches tv for I'd say an average 3 hrs a day, it would take about 4 yrs for the tv to burn out. Wouldnt you be thinkin about gettin a new tv in the next yr or so anyway? I myself have a lcd in my bedroom and a plasma in my living room and I can tell u that if u sit on an angle on an lcd u dont see shiet all and on a plasma every angle is the same so I would actually recommend a plasma |
