it got aweful reviews can you believe it? they put so much work into it... John Cudia had only JUST started playing Erik (phantom) this time around; most times he was cast as Raoul. and I think it took him a few times to get the REAL feel of being the phantom. His body language was just breath taking.. he was more forceful and pathedic.. in a good way. also he was so lusty. he was so perfect. hes under studied as the phantom for 10 years. now its his turn and I hope he NEVER EVER goes back to Raoul because hes the BEST phantom ive ever seen! Carlotta wasnt annoying enough... and christen (at least the one I saw) had a hard time hitting some notes.... Other then that the cast was perfect. But Piangi really stood out he was soooooo good. :) the sets and fire! oh it was good. |

there's just too many perfermances to compare it to.
i enjoyed it for what it was. i thought christine did a beautiful job. but there are 2 different leads for her. one of them playing a slew dates, its in the little book they give you before you sit down. i thought the props and cast were amazing. and the music was phenomenal! |

I saw that with my mom when I was a lot younger and I absolutely loved it. It's just NOT the same without Donnie Osmond that's for damn sure. |

I saw that as well when it played here. The female lead had such an amazing voice that when she sung 'A Pharoh's Story' I almost shed a tear. |

Jean Valjeans is his name.
Best part of Les Miz in London was that they had this massive platter that rotated around in the middle of the stage. For scenes after Valjeans got out of prison, wandering the streets and coming across various merchants and richfolk, he was essentially walking in place on this giant platter. People would set up their little merchant booths at the upstage and as it rotated around, Valjeans would approach them and do his interaction. Intensely cool stage gimmick and by far the best play I've ever seen. |
