just-a-though:what's the big deal about caring for some one if you do nothing to help the situation.. i feel empathy for those who are "less fortunate" but honestly, if it makes me cold hearted to put my life first, then so I am.

its weird how, we make such a distinction between america and canada. We're all the same people, but geographical location seems to make such a big difference. If the "American" side did a bad deed then us canadians feel "safe" because we're on the side of the border that didn't fuck up. If, however, a canadian-born man/woman were to fuck up, then things would be a whole lot different.
Maybe it would be on the American news 24/7, and Bill Mathers would be cracking his "those damn canadians!" jokes on politically incorrect... But if you think of it, it could have been any one, only this time, the blame is on *that* side of the border.
scary how one person's actions can be responsible for a whole nation's pride.
