man youhzny put a good fight, but man roddick when it came to the tie breakers. That was the real key for him in this match.

Roddick vs Federer.

This is gonna be killer. I want Roddick to win. Federer needs to be dropped to earth at least once

Naw I would rather honestly see roddick take him down. I do think its only a small chance though depending on how federer plays.

but roddick is playing at the top of his game rite now, the only difference i can see is his up to the net play isn't nearly as good as nadal or federer's.

but i want to see roddick win. thats for sure.

i agree 100%.

roddick was playing the best tennis of his career, but fuck, when federer goes up to the net (which he doesn't do often enough), he is unmatched.

federer takes another grand slam. i wonder if he will surpass pete sampras in grand slam titles by the end of 2008?

the thing that freaks me out most about federer is that everything looks so smooth and easy...he seems almost bored on the court, like "argh, now i need to win another 3 games till the final, so annoying" o.O does he even sweat? he's doing all these amazing things with his racket and doesn't look as though it's any effort at all...impressive...and oh, he's swiss! haha! :)

^ thats what most of these top dog superstars are. Tiger woods will sit and play with his golf club and a ball. He makes every shot look sooo easy and effortless.

Federer same, Gretzky did things that were mind boogling but he also did it with ease.

All the great ones it seems are like that.

right now he is playing in the US open and i have been glued into all of his games. he defeated pavel on tuesday in what was consitered one of the greatest comebacks in the history of the US open. agassi was on the break of elimination after giving up 2 sets back to back, and 4 consecutive games in the 4th set. then out of nowhere, he comes back to win the set by beating Pavel 6 games in a row! he then went on to win the next set 6-2, winning the match.

then last night he faced my favorite tennis player marcos bagdattis (ranked #8 in the world), beating him in a grueling 6-4, 6-4, 3-6, 5-7, 6-3 victory. agassi out ran, out shot, and out-lasted bagdattis, a player 16 years his junior.

alot of his momentum has been coming from the crowd, who have been behind him every step of the way. there is not a single person in that arena that was not cheering for agassi.

i hope that andre wins the US open, even with opponents like roger federer, rapheal nadal, and andy roddeck. but if he can just keep feeding off of the crowd and the other players do not build any momentum, he will have a fighting chance.

he is one of the greatest players to ever set foot on the court and an inspiration to all tennis players, young and old. he will be greatly missed.
One other tough match in Andre Agassi's career...Wimbledon Championship 1999 against Pete Samprashttp://video.google.com/videoplay?do...18154861516675<-watch this clip

But yeah, Andre, my fave tennis player of all times :)
