buy a new one, they are dirt cheap these days... the cleaner probably costs the same amount as a new one

Exactaly. That's the most harmless and proper way to clean ANY electronic device. Anything else will just cause future proplems.

but if you have grubby hands and your keys are all dirty, just use some qtips and rubbing alcohol.. just make sure not to drip or spill.

go to staples they have tones of shit. the compressed shit is the best..or do it the way i do it...turn it upside down and bang it till all the shit falls out..lol
