Mile 36/37 closed
Just got back from a long drive to mile 36 and back. I was driving up to meet some friends up there camping. When I got to the driving trail into the site someone had dug a huge hole and made a pile of dirt and logs so that nothing could possibly drive in. They did this on both the trail to mile 36 and 37.
Posted on a tree at mile 36 a sign said "Danger! Grizzly Bear in area". You could walk around or over the blockade but I'll be damned if I wanna camp in Grizzly country. I hope some hippies fill the hole in and dismantle the blockade by next summer. |

unfortunantly because of this summers dry spell and this falling forcasted to be also fairly dry there is going to be alot of bear sitings. First the berries are not ripe because of a lack of moisture and they also reported on the news that the fraser, thompson, and some other large river is the lowests its ever been for 20+ years. They said that because the water is low it is also warmer and given that there is no oxygen in the water and as a result the salmon that is spawning will begin to die.... This not only effects of course the spawning.... but again one of the food sources for bears... So really the only other choice for the bear is to dig through trash in urban area's....
