Microsoft Releases Blueray Disc Add-On
So Microsoft decided to compete with Sony's Blueray technology by releasing an external Blueray disc player. Runs for around 170$. So adding the price up for the 360 and Blueray player. Your looking at the same price as the PS3. I think Sony deserves a smack for the delays. But I cannot wait for the console. Besides, they didn't want to pull a 360 release.

Although to be honest, I'll probably favour the format that gives me the most bang for my buck, (hd-dvd), this is why I think the ps3 might be a big flop. And for fun, here are the companies backing each side in the upcoming format war: HDDVD Paramount Warner Bros. New Line HBO DreamWorks Image Entertainment Magnolia Pictures Brentwood Home Video Warner Music Group Ryko Goldhil Entertainment Studio Canal BRDVD Sony Warner Bros. 20th Century Fox Disney MGM Artisan Lions Gate Paramount Weinstein Dreamworks BuenaVista Asmik Ace |

i think i remember reading something about a third party making a Blue Ray/HD DVD combo player, regardless i'm pretty sure that someone would be smart enough to make one.

personal preferance adam, yes HDMI can do both digital audio and high definition picture. But most of thoe people will have a home theater system. Component cable can support upto 1080i depending on your tv. at work we have 1080i component and 1080i hdmi.. i honestly cannot tell the difference. either one looks freaking amazing. in my mind there's only two hdmi, and component.. fuck that dvi shit. |
