Nintendo Wii hits stores tomorrow :)

I'm thinking i might go buy it tomorrow but the whole reason why i would like to get it is because u can dl games from nintendo,NES, Sega genesis, N64 and Atari to your console. Is there anyone else here thats heard much about it? and might be able to tell me what the games are that can be downloaded?

So I go into work today and saw a few guys sitting outside the store with a guitar.. I thought they were playing for money or something.

Then on my break I realized they were camping out to buy the wii.

When the store was closed, they moved their chairs into a semi-circle in front of the main door so no one else could get through. 2/5 of them had their DSs out and gaming it.

I was quite amused to say the least.




Anyways, I can't wait to try the system. I won't be getting one for a few months since I'm low in the finance department, so I'll be bumming around my bf's place haha.

yea i saw the people camped outside of wal mart tonight, and all of them had DSs out lol, complete with hand written posters saying Wii came, wii saw, wii conquered (the ps3).

along with: PLEASE BUY US FOOD.

if ur planning to get the wii at least theres gonna be way more than the ps3, they said roughly ten times more than the ps3

I cant wait to play the new zelda..it looks awesome..I have owned every nintendo system. and This is definatly onwe i am not gonna pass up..and the price for the system is half the price of the ps3 too..thoe I will buy the ps3 once hte price dropps for shure. As for downloading al the old nintendo games..you wii owners will beable to download all existing nintendo games..how dope is that. I am interested too see how the feel on the new controller is going to be tohe..but it seems prety cool. it is an interactive controller..ie( in a game with a bow like zelda..you will beable to hold the action button pull the controler and the character will do what you are doing pull his bow and release it as you do..for driving games it wil act like a steering wheel as you turn it side to side..how fuckin cool is that.)..is is gonna be interesting too see how well the sales of the nintendo system compare to the ps3.

I got mine from EB at lougheed mall... Didn't even have to camp or anything. I was first in line, and I only had to hang out for about an hour.

my dad was going to buy it as a late birthday present, but then changed his mind when he remembered that i have finals to do in early december. so now i get it for christmas.

I am still torn between the normal controller that every other system has and this controller that Wii has... I don't know how to feel about it... guess I'm gonna have to play it.

^ you do know they have normal style controllers (like on the gamecube) available? and if you have a gamecube, then the accessories for that are backward compatible, so you can use your gamecube controllers on the wii.. right?

i'm sure the controller will have it's benefits for certain games (and i'm so curious to actually try it and see how it is), and it will probably take some getting used to, but you can still use the other ones. i'm not sure if certains games require the new controller or not.. we'll have to see.

Yeah, I won't be getting one any time soon, finances don't allow it and I want a Ps3 eventually too... it's definitely a new era for video games, though I still thought that XBOX was going to be releasing their HALO 3 at the same time... to keep consumers wanting from XBOX.
