Fave Chick Flick?

I watched one of my faves last night.....a bit of a guilty pleasure.

Mine are, in no order....

Steel Magnolias
Fried Green Tomatoes
The American President

one time in an attempt to get some ass i sat through Mona Lisa Smile in the theater.

American President has wicked acting all round.

I'll sit through Knotting Hill cause it's funny.

I refuse to watch The Notebook.

Steel Magnolias and Fried Green Tomatoes are probably my all time favourite chick flicks!

-Big Business.
-Mermaid
-Dirty Dancing
-Corina Corina
-Satisfaction
-Romeo and Juliet
-The Notebook
-White Oleander

I could go on and on...

Dirty Dancing, and Crazy/Beautiful are two other faves.

I agree with you.

I think a chick flick, is more romance and sappy love story.

Movies like "I am Sam", "White Oleander", "The Breakfast Club" do not constitute as chick flicks in my mind.

White Oleander is a chick flick.

It's a love story..not romantic love..but the movie is about love.

I think chick flicks are romanitc comedies, or movies that guys are less inclined to see... yes most of the time they make you cry, but I don't think that's always the case, any movie that makes me have butterflies because of how sappy cute it is, or how funny cute it is,, I would categorize as a chick flick.

Brokeback is a guy flick, meaning emotionless... the feeling between the two characters... was so stale I couldn't believe it.

Last time I checked "chick flick" wasn't exactly an official category for movies.
