Digital PVR's rule
I have a crazy schedule and so this has come in sooo handy. I literally set it and forget it.
It records any show I want - and I can select new episodes only. Then when it comes time to watch it, I fast forward through all the lame commercials. Yay! |

Avana -- the convienence of Digital cable is worth it. And I can't remember the plan we have actually -- I signed up for it so long ago.
The PVR is fucking dope. I can record a program and then watch another at the same time. I can even pause the program I'm watching while another is recording. OR, record 2 programs at the same time. Pretty insane. |

yeah, the 6412's are bags of ass, that's why motorolla released the 16's, also included a bigger HD.
the only issue i find with HDMI is setting up a reciever, i'd rather use component to the tv and optical spdif. component (to me) gives a better picture. |

Adding the HD channels to our already existing digital package was like another $10, making it $60something a month. We bought the box though, so we don't pay any additional rental fees. If you rent the normal PVR it's an additional $12/month, and the HD PVR is $22/month

I got the same PVR. I was considering the non-PVR box, but changed my mind at the last minute. I didn't think I'd use the PVR that much, but it's definitely a feature I use all the time. Although it ain't cheap to buy, it was worth the $700.
