The Ring
I just watched a sneak preview of this movie and it's pretty good. It is a old fashioned spook flick that makes you quiver a bit.
The synopsis is as follows: it sounded like just another urban legend - a videotape with nightmarish images, leading to a phone call foretelling the viewer's death in exactly severn days. As a newspaper reporter, Rachel Keller was naturally skeptical of the story, until four teenagers all met with mysterious deaths exactly one week after watching just such a tape. Allowing her investigative curiosity to get the better of her, Rachel tracks down the video... and watches it. Now she has just seven days to unravel the mystery of 'The Ring'. This is a remake of a Japanese box office hit called 'The Ring'. I do recommend seeing it, late at night if possible! :c-tard:

the japanese original was fucking fantastic!
it thorougly creeped me out. i want to rent it again. i probably won't buy into the americanized version, so thanks for your synopsis.

I'm telling you it is one creepy little film.
I was thinking about a scene when I was taking a shower and spooked myself. As the reviewer of the original movie said, if you still think about the movie days/weeks after seeing it then it did its job.

i'm watching this movie today...i'm scared..and i get scared easily..someone told me i was gonna cry..hmmm..i better lower my expectations..=P...can't wait to watch it!

haha..i did cry..but the movie was pretty creepy!...
but still not as good as everyone said it would be..~ but it is one of the better horror movies..

AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
oh dear god I just watched it. oh man, i'm glad i went to a matinee cuz i would be sooooooo soooooo soooooo scared if it was night out. scary movies + dark = frightened miska. lol. It was really well done tho.. the music was so creepy, especially the song that the little girl sings.

I saw this last nite. My god, its creepy. Not as creepy as I thought it was, but I hyped myself up soo much, so thats my own fault. Stil la good movie though.
I heard the JApanese one is even creepier. I must find a subtitled one.

I saw it tonight, it wasn't scary. Trust me. Then again, I don't scare easily...
The visuals and imagery in it were great though, reminds me of David Lynch's Eraserhead. I love the video that they had in it, I thought the cg for when she came out of the tv were kinda stupid though, shoulda kept her hair over her face... the girl in the closet looked damn cool though....
