Yeaahhhh I saw this movie last night too! It was so packed, and like everyone from my old high school was there. I swear everyone in the theatre knew each other. The ending kinda dissapointed me but Eminem was so hot throughout it didn't matter! haha and Britney Murphy oohhh she made me mad at that one part! :P
Nice ass Eminem!!! ahahah and that sex scene wooaahh! :D |

I saw the movie last night also. His acting was very good, and he fit the part extremely well (obviously).
It was a little bit slow, but it was interesting to get a glimpse of what parts of Detroit look like. Well, the slums of Detroit anyways. Pretty ugly, and depressing scenery. He has quite a few freestyle battles in the movie which was the highlite for me because his rhymes are fukin amazing. I found Britney Murphy's character to be pretty anoying, but she was good for the part. If you like good rhymes, eminem, his dirty ass, or "hood movies", I would recommend it. I'd say he's definitely a better actor than any other rapper I've seen. |

^^^^well put
i totally agree, eminem is a very good actor, i can see him taking the acting world by surprise like he did the 'pop' world, and yeah his rhymes are fucking ill yo!! but that one big ass guy he battles near the end is pretty fucking dope too....... and as far as britteny murphy goes, yeah i guess she fit the part well, i guess i'm just jealous....... |

^^
Oh, I completely forgot about that part! You just made me wanna see the movie again to catch their little rendition of that song. That was the best thing I've heard in awhile! Apparently Eminem wrote most of the lyrics used for the battles in the movie. I know for sure he wrote Proof's lyrics, (the first guy to battle at the very beginning). Eminem's got crazy talent! |

i know all this reminising is totally making me wanna go see it again!!!!!
and as far as eminem's talent goes, i totally agree he's got crazy insane, AND insane crazy talent not only as far as rhyming goes, but in all aspects of his career, acting, music, fuck that boy is magnificant!! |

i went to silver city in coquitlam cuz i've never been there before and i wanted to get the best for my baby (eminem obviously) but yeah like i said earlier we got our tickets online ahead of time to make sure we could get em and it cost us fucking 14.50 each! fucking ridiculous! and i didn't relly notice much of a difference from regular theatres except all the crap outside, and the fact that the seats are stadium style not just a slight slant up...but it definetly wasn't werth 15 bucks
|

yeah, I've never been to that one in Coquitlam either. 15 bucks is truly ridiculous for a movie, but what can you do? 8 mile is a must see.
well, nice talking to you, but unfortunately my lunchbreak is now over, and I have to get back to work. peace, Julien |

Ok!!! Here is my opnion on this movie:
K, this movie is almost an autobiography of Eminem's life. I suppose that's why he's so belieable in the movie. He's been talking about his life through his music for almost 5 years. The story line to me is pretty boring and not original. If Eminem wasn't playing "Rabbit" I don't think the movie would be getting as much play. I wouldn't go as far as saying Eminem is a good actor, cuz an actor is supposed to go outside of themselves and Em wasn't going too far. I'm an Eminem fan, so that's why I'm going. I am also a fan of L.A. Confindental and Kim Basinger was great in that movie and that is another reason. Also, this movie has a few elements of Hip-Hop. I think the best part of the movie is the freestyles. Not Em's best, but still pretty dope though. All I know is that work (I work @ a theatre in Coquitlam!!! heh.) was filled with 15-21 year old, middle-class guys trying to be hardcore. They get all mouthy and start talking too much shit. |
