^actually soundwave might be in the film. the latest trailer has a portable cd stereo that transforms under a guy's chair.

i have a friend at work that's a total transformers nerd, and he was telling me the reason why bumblebee is a camero and not a VW beetle is because Volkswagon wanted nothing to do with the movie and didn't like the idea of their vehicles being showed off with guns and robots (even though i think they made a huge mistake on that part) so they had to look to make him a new kind of vehicle

^It's true... I just like blaming it on Michael Bay. It was the same thing with Peterbilt trucks actually.

It doesn't make sense to me really. You can't ask for much better advertising than a MAJOR part in what will end up being a summer blockbuster.
