haven't played online yet - still trying to get through the single player game.

Metal Gear is Metal Gear. You'll either love it or hate it - if you didn't like the previous ones, you won't like this one. If you like the older ones, this is like the next evolution of the series and the massive conclusion to the storyline (or so i've been told).

I'm a huge metal gear fan so MGS4 is like heaven to me. But if you can't deal with the quirky humour, the overly complicated plot, the somewhat preachy undercurrent in the storyline, and the cutscenes that last an eternity, then it's not really the game for you.
