But is that really fair. Yes for what it is, it hit the mark.
But to take the name and rights of a book, which concentrates on thought provoking ideas and morals in war, and make it into a cheesy action movie seems pretty stupid.
For example, "Catcher in the rye" is a book that most of us have probably read. How would you feel if they made it into an "American pie" style sexy teen comedy romp through the city of New York based on the premise of a kid expelled from private school.
Yes, it could be fine for what it is (Teen Comedy), but it's a slap to the face of the original book. Would it be justified?
