I own this and LOVE this movie!! :) WATCH THIS!

And you don't really want to either. You kinda wanna get up and dance.
Don't assume you know anything about this movie until you've seen it at a theatre.
(btw, this one goes right on that top-3 list)
Also LOVE this movie! Watch it all the time.

I love this one and watch it all the time.

This would be the 3 that I would pick out of Daves list. :)

Okay, im just gonna start spitting out names of movies i think are great starting with the most fucked up to the least, also remember theres alot of fucked up but good films coming out of places like france, korea, russia, japan so if you dont mind reading subtitles its all good. personally i hate watching foreign flicks in english you miss so much with the dubbing.

anyone know where i can cop a copy of brazil, i really want to see that joint and after seeing someone mention it here its pigued my interest.

anyway here she goes:
-ichi the killer -jpn-straight crazy shit son, i know you can handle it tho tom, some mufuckahs get grossed out watching a dude cut off his own tongue.
-there will be blood - some people might think this shit is too mainstream to be so high on this list but if you get into the story you realize how fucked up it is, plus im a huge fan of daniel day lewis, some people may think im homo but my left foot was a bangin film
-apocalypse now - the only reason this isnt no.2 is because its not fresh, and it dosnt show mufuckahs get straight splattered in a fucked up way, its actually kind of realistic. plus marlon brando and dennis hopper really manned up for their performances. if i was in vietnam and did acid all the time id be doing fucked up shit like that too, so it gets the shompton seal of approval.

anyway im pretty dry on the crazy fucked up action flicks right now because i cant remember the names of half the crazy films i saw since they were foreign an shit. anyway the rest of these movies are movies that i just really like and i dont know if you've seen em you might like them joints too.

butch cassidy and the sundance kid - like i said in a earlier post not a -big fan of westerns, mostly because i think john wayne was a closet bitch and he's associated with those joints. paul newman and robert redford when they were young, damn son now thats a good western.
-all them spaghetti westerns with sergio leone since im a western tip i might as well follow up.
-every fuckin clint eastwood movie, directed or starred in tho to tell you the truth i liked letters from imo jima and flags of fathers the best.
-the great escape with that dude from bullit,
-mean streets - the first scorsese film to make it big, got a young ass de niro, and you get to see how shorties managed the bush in the 70's, they didn't ugh
-pulp fiction - is deffinitely one of my favourite joints, i think he fell off a bit after this and resevior dogs. but i like my shit gangsta
-hombre-another paul newman western, i must be homo for the guy. either way its a good flick
-blazin saddles- its a western comedy made by homeboy mel brooks, funny as fuck.
-the deer hunter - walken and de niro, nam, mufuckahs playing russian roulette you cant go wrong, more of a drama then a action flick.

now for other shit id watch. id watch collateral its good show because micheal mann did it and its the only film where tom cruise dosnt come off as a little bitch. black hawk down, all sorts of crazy shit.

but to tell you the truth if you got a pounding system connected to a decent tv, the best joint to watch is saving private ryan. thats some real shit.

p.s. i needed to put bullet points in to make it intelligible.

For purchase you can probably fiind it at any Futureshop/Best Buy, for rental Black Dog or Tom's Video should both have it but you'll probably find it at any Blockbuster/Rogers too.

Actually, the story is even less fresh than the movie. One of the things that makes Apocalypse Now so great is how timeless the themes are. It's based on a turn-of-the-century novella called Heart Of Darkness, which takes place in the Congo during the height of the British Empire, as opposed to Vietnam during the height of the American Empire. In fact, the TS Eliot poem being recited by Brando in Apocalypse Now (The Hollow Men) actually has a direct quote in it from Heart Of Darkness (and in fact makes direct reference to Kurtz, which makes a cool little anachronism in the movie) - Mistah Kurtz - he dead.
