MAtrix Reloaded Review *Spoiler*

THere might be some spoiler information here. So please do not continue if you dont want to ruin the movie!

----------------------
Anyways, I must say this movie is interesting to say the least. I won't give away too much. The action sequences are amazing. Some of the camera angles are just amazing. In terms of actual martial arts, I think there medicore. Since I am Chinese, I am a custom to seeing lots of flying fists since I grew up watching a lot of Chinese Martial art films. Fists flyering everywhere is nothing new to me.

The chase scene is unbelieve, even better than Ronin. The visual effects is what makes this movie. So many different characters and Xion just looks amazing. I don't get why they can make a set this good and not one for a final fantasy movie. There is a scene where it turns from a gathering of people to listen to Morpheou's prolific speech to a tribal, rave-like dance. Very humours to say the least.

There is a lot more action than the first one. Reloaded has a lot of story to it, and at times is very boring. If you thought the 1st one was confusing, wait till the last 15min of the movie. Mind Fuck! From what I got from my friend. There are a lot of theories taken from mathmatics and stats. Very interesing to say the least.

Bottom line this is a good movie, not as good as the first 1, but still good never the less. There are a few cheesy points. ha ha. you will know what i'm talking about. I'm going to have to watch it again to understand what the architect was saying.

`tim

ps - its not a cliffhanger, more of a blah.

yeah it was pretty good, but some very lame scenes. coolest part was the twins and french guy.

btw, did you guys see the preview of part 3? its after the credits. theres 7 mins of credits, so its a long haul, but well worth it.

man... This movie totally blew me away.
I haven't really enjoyed a movie this much in a long time.
There were somethings in the actions scenes that I just really liked.
1, where he uses that pole as a bo and beats the hell out of all the agents, I just thought that was so neat as I've recently taken up learning the bo as well.
2, where he's in that stair case area place and all those people attack him with the weapons. When he's using the sai's, I was actually very happy, as he was using them correctly, where as some movies (eg, daredevil) they used them totally incorrectly.
It also increased my enjoyment of the movie as I knew exactly how he did those flips with the sai's and what not.
3, when he stops the sword with the edge of his hand. I just liked it cause my sensai always tells us whenever we do that in class, "make your hand the greatest sword in the world. Pretend your hand is a real sword when you strike"... heh, just something small that I really enjoyed.
4, I'm not one for car chases, there aren't many that I really like. The only ones that have actually semi impressed me were ones from ronin and the transporter.
This movie though. wow, I thought it was totally amazing.

As for the end... holy fuck... wtf happened? :p
when he stopped those metal squiggly things...
my guess is either it's "13th floor" esque or maybe cause neo is the anomaly, he developed psychic powers or what not.
I honestly don't know, but all in all.
That was definately worth my 12.50 or however much it cost me.

Hmmmmm.

First off, the movie itself was off the fucking hook. Excellent job. Had your good mix of a little bit of comedy, little suspense, great action. The fighting scenes were immpressive.

Second. I really don't wanna give anything anyway to anyone, so if you haven't seen the movie, quit fucking reading. I mean it. OK. So, if you've seen it, WTF!! That ending was shitty. What a crappy way for marketing. It was like watching a show and then BAM, just turning off the tv. I mean I knew 3 is coming out in nov, but come on. That was a marketing ploy to make you have to watch the third, cause you gotta know what happens. I mean I was gonna watch it anywho, but to do a to be continued?!? I mean at least in something like Back to the Future, they had closure to the movie. It was like they ended it how they do on tv shoes. Your all amped watching Buffy and then....To be continued. That's just bullshit. I expect that watching a tv show, I mean, that's what tv shows are, but I dont' expect it from a movie.

But overall I gotta say I really did like it. If I knew the ending was like that, I probably wouldn't have gone to the premier showing but, what the hell. I'd have to say this was up there in my favs. At least a 9 out of 10. I'll watch it again later today. I'll probably still get irritated by the way they ended it, but like I said, it's a really good movie.

beat farmer. u sure hella ain't alone
i thot the story just got too complicated
and the talk scenes dragged on for much too long.
it was either
10 min of fighting
or 20 min of talking
and the fighting was literally computer generalized.
but a lot ofpeople on this board say they like it..

different points of view

and there ain't not hot chick(s) in matrix like it did in x2...

I too like the fact that they did use the weapons the way they are supposed to and not hack together a fighting sequence.

The stairway fight was very fluid and fun to watch. I kept on laughing when the small asian guy kept swinging the large staff around as it reminded me of the bumbling guard in Crouching Tiger who got in the way all the time.

At then end I think he developed a "sense" of the Sentinels due to the fact he had entered the mainframe and now is able to reprogram them to stop as they are just part of the bigger machine and Neo just happens to be the one to hack into the system.

However I thought the flight sequences were kind of hokey. If you can manipulate the Matrix why fly? Why not just teleport yourself around. Or do what the agents do and possess someone.

I think the matrix world could be compared to that of a dream world.
A lot of things are very similar.
If you look at it that way, it seems to make sense more. well to me anyways.
cause, I mean, in your dream world, it's very possible to fly when you're lucid dreaming but to teleport yourself around concsiously, I've never been able to do that, nor have I heard of anybody who's done that.

U take away the awsome 15 minute action packed freeway scened out of matrix reloaded and basically all you have left is:
a couple other combat scenes, waaay to much slow dialogue of philosophical jargon, lots of really really neat looking sunglasses, and a lot of doors that get opened adn closed real fast.

I guess i was just more impressed with x2 compared to x-men as i was reloaded compared to matrix 1.

But for the most party reloaded is quite hollow and only holds together due to its unbeatable effects.

*shrug*

ooh

for some reason I forgot about that part.

maybe it is a sign that Neo actually has broken out of the control loop....

I definetly want to learn to use the bo after seeing that fight scene too :)

Out of all the weapons I've learnt, it's my favorite. I can't think of any other weapon where you can be as creative. well... maybe the nunchucks but either way, the bo is so fun to use...
hah maybe the next time I see you, I'll rant about it...

man...

whats with all these people going blah over Reloaded?

I mean, yeah, the action was a bit cliche, and the plot slow at times, but the mind bending math that the Architect dropped at the end made all totally worth it.

Haven't any of you heard of a philosophical climax before?
