Truth be told, the most exciting tournament action of the day was between New Century Gamers and Clan TIC. For those who aren’t in the know, NCG has one of the best Spearhead teams around, which went to instilling great fear into the minds of their competitors – to that end, TIC decided to "play it safe" and turned into a bunch of campers, in a ploy to lure NCG into their awaiting trap. The fact is, if NCG wouldn’t have done anything, the first game would’ve been a stalemate – but NCG did, and went down the first game by two points. The second match, however, was completely different – NCG quickly adopted to the “defensive style” (spelled camping) of TIC and won the entire match by about 14 points.
To the victor go the spoils so each NCG member had their choice of either an Intel P4 3GHz “C” with an MSI 875P motherboard, or a MSI nForce2 board and a Radeon 9800 Pro – the second place TIC dudes were rewarded a fUnc gaming pad and an ATI Remote Wonder.
