Dune. Anyone? Children of Dune?

I know that there's the 1974 one, and then they made a Dune (2000) and that movie kicked serious ass. Then they made Children of Dune (2003) and it's like the best thing I've ever rented because they use the same actors so you actually know who everybody is. It's great. For people who like starwars or even lord of the rings I'd reccomend this. But you have to start with dune (2000) or you'll be left out in the cold forever wondering what teh hell you're watching...
Anyone else like these two?

I prefer the Lynch-vision myself. Watching Sting prance around like a fairy spouting, "I WILL KILL HIM!" is always great for a lawf. :kam:

And gotta love that Eno soundtrack!

The Lynch movie is kind of stand alone, and only seems to barely follow the books. It's a real trip-fest, though, if you can sit through some of the dated FX.

I've caught bits and pieces of the TV series versions, which I hear follow the books more religiously, but beyond that, I ain't got a clue. I never sat down with them long enough to grasp many details.
