It all depends; there are a lot of good movies out there that have depth to their plot, play around with interesting themes, and are enjoyable on an intellectual level. You just need to watch a lot of crap to find them. :284:

i found that spun was kind of a ripoff of requiem for a dream. at points they even use the same directing/cinematography styles in spun that requiem had. i found that the only thing spun had going for it was the cast. now...as for requiem, that was a great movie that will fuck with your head, plus, its got jennifer connelly, so how can you go wrong?
