Yes you were right the spelling is incorrect, it's the Hiram Key and is written by two 33rd degree freemasons: Christopher Knight and Robert Lomas.
They both do a great job debunking symbolism that is taken quite literally among other things, for instance, turning water into wine. "Turning water into wine" turns out to be a common parlance of the time, much like the English equivalent of "making a silk purse out of a sow's ear". The main Tenet of the book is that the first freemason, Hiram Abif, has been said to have started during the Knights Templar era, which is a proven fallacy according to Lomas and Knight. Well to say they have compelling evidence is to say the least. With the ceremony of the 3rd degree initiation of freemasonry, the story of how Hiram Abif was assassinated (to milk out the king making rituals) runs parallel to about 1500 B.C. of the last Egyptian King Seqenenre Tao. The 3rd degree initiation story shows how the matches of the injuries sustained on the mummy of Seqenenre Tao are the same of Hiram Abif! They literally have an old mummy that is physical evidence of this, irrefutable evidence (maybe, heh), down to ultimate specifics, basically proving that the roots of freemasonry are roughly 3500 years old! There are many more details and sources riddled in the book but if you must remember one thing from it this is it! Not to say it's not filled with a lot of spin, specifically on the aims of freemasonry being a peaceful brotherhood and also, the obvious sensationalism on bible quotes taken out of context. The world won't look the same to anyone who reads this again, that is pretty definite. Good luck on your quest for truth, buckled up for one helluva ride!
