I dunot know about you, but ever since that E3 movie came out i've been sweating profusly in anticipation for the fucking thing to come out. Valve is screwing around with our minds, the realease date was once sept 03. Then they made it the holidays of 03'
Now its set at april 04, i mean common guys whats goin on!
when i bought my video card i got a free hl2 coupon inside...so i'm ready and waiting!

crazy how somone hacked valve w/ keystroke stealers to grab 80% of the game and the physics engine.

I cant wait, but delays like this it wont be out till 2005

I give you 90 to 1 odds they intentionally leaked the code so that they'd a) have people to fix all the bugs they didn't have budget to handle, and b) would have an excuse to the investors/public to push back the release date another couple quarters.

troika's vampire:bloodlines game is slated for release in may. it uses the hl2 engine... i think valve would want to get their game out the door and on the market first.

Why not? It'd be an excellent way to keep stock prices up whilst at the same time not delivering your product before the Christmas rush. Seems pretty smart to me.

Not a conspiracy. Just marketing. I'm sure they look the same but that's the game I suppose.

I dont think there will be a cs mod for half life 2 with the release of Condition Zero (MARCH!) If you saw the E3 footage you'd see that people arent going to buy this game because there might be a CS for it. The graphics look stunning.. that physics gun is going to be my favourite weapon. The game is going to rock my ass, your ass, rawb's ass, dave's ass, twisted productions ass. I dont think people are going to go raving for quite sometime when this game is released.

and just because Counter-Strike is not popular in your school, the internet cafes you go to, etc... doesnt mean its dead.

thousands of people are still playing CS 1.5

I myself have both CS 1.6 and 1.5 and love both of them.

next time think before you make a stupid comment about CS being dead so halflife 2 isnt going to do so well when it hits the shelves.

Well I have to perk up in this forum. First and foremost Half Life 2 is going to blow I would say 99% of game players away. I have had a chance to see some interesting footage on the game and its basic engine without the prettiness and the engine is so ridiculously solid it's going to launch a whole new realm of gaming. As far as CS dropping off I'm not 100% Sure but as of 6 weekes ago it was still ranked the Number 1 online played game world wide. This is beyond impressive considering the game is based on an engine that was developed over 7 years ago now. And for anyone that really nows CS players at all I'm -=vPk=- G-Style... Now retired but our clan was ranked number 1 for over 6 months in almost every north american league and no we never cheated and to this day I do not cheat. I quit playing because it got too stupid but when the game was clen we were indestrucable. Love the new engine excited is an understatment for me. I'll be buying a new PC and Vid card for this game alone maybe even a new 21" monitor.

i tried running it with a celeron 700

512 pc 133

resolution 800X600 and it ran shit tastic and i still killed everyone in iceworld.
