crackdragon will become famous soon enough
defrag the HD and clear up some room on your HD. Also see what programs you have running in the background at all times. These will eat up system resources and slow your com down if you have enough of them running.

if you're using XP downgrade to 2k if you've only got 128mb or lower for ram

XP is a huge ram hog.

You can go into your bios to change the speed of your computer. Install another fan because if you overclock your cpu too much it will fry the motherboard.. And you dont want that happening.

defagging always helps as well

And download some virus scanners and ad aware.

Overclock, whut?

If you're down with minimal hardware upgrade, I highly recommend more RAM. MHz these days mean squat insofar as CPU speed goes: the real bottleneck is RAM amounts and RAMbus/FSB speed. So just getting more RAM is the cheapest thing you can do (everything else involves a new mobo).

and take away all the bullshit effects you dont need.

theres other things you can tweak too
