its called Last Night, directed and starred in by THE MAN Don McKellar.

Some favorites in no particular order:

-Last Night
-32 Short Films about Glen Gould
-WayDownTown (this movie is a fucking laugh riot)
-Naked Lunch (and most cronenberg, actually - maybe not Crash)
-the Corporation
-Maelstrom
-Quest for Fire (the best cave man movie I have ever seen)
-Highway 61 and Hardcore Logo (I havent seen the other Bruce McDonald one)

I reccomend checking out some movies by any of these canadian Directors, too - Gary Burns, Bruce McDonald, Denys Arcand, David Cronenberg... Maybe Atom Egoyan, but I personally hate his movies.

There are a ton of excellent movies out of Quebec as well, but most of them are too depressing for my liking =P

The original trailer park boys movie that served as a promo for the show.

The one where julian had the black corvette.

Fubar.

The rest of it is all abstract for the sake of being weird Atom Egoyan garbage.

Yeah , cube was a decent movie. Good concept, but the acting and set was garbage. Col when the guy gets sliced into little pieces though.

Wow. Trailer Park Boys and Fubar. Who'da thunk it?

The Log Driver's Waltz (short)
Porky's

Oh, and for everybody saying Canadian Bacon, go get your facts straight. That movie was made by an American and American production companies. It happened to star Canadians but so did Star Trek.

Wondering if the two-hour series premier of 'Trailer Park Boys' qualifys. If so, that's my pick. If not, then 'First Blood' because they filmed it @ Hope, BC.

well aslong as you want to have your facts straight , it was written and directed by Michael Moore. However it was sponsored entirely by the canadian government , also was filmed entirely in canada, and did have a canadian cast. The NFB ( national film board of canada ) have a rating system to dictate how "canadian" a film is, granting points to each member of the production being canadian and it's merit to canadian culture, and it has been rated that Canadian Bacon is indeed considered a "canadian" film.

-margaret's museum
-atanarjuat : the fast runner (it wasn't *that* great, but i loved the cinematography)

there was a tour featuring canadian films that passed by this side of canada a short while ago, 'moving pictures.' tickets were sold out by the time i found out about it though =( i picked up a program, and the selection looks impressive.

for the tour dates and info if anyone's interested (i don't see why u wouldn't, canadians films are great), go to www.movingpictures.ca
