^yeah it doesn't look bad.
I'm hoping that the movie will actually focus on what the title says it is. Disaster movies are cool, but i want to see a disaster movie that is mainly about the 'aftermath' of the disaster and how people survive. There aren't many of those out there. |

most aftermath movies are from a few decades back and the acting sucks. EXCEPT THE MAD MAX TRILOGY!!! |

Yeah but how is that issue addressed? With a lot of over the top pseudo-science bullshit?.. with broad strokes that don't really say much beyond "global warming bad"?
The topic itself is the most important challenge facing life on our planet, and the most overlooked world problem in today's culture (and we're overlooking a LOT of problems). I just don't count on a hollywood flick to offer any real insight. "The Corporation" fares a hell of a lot better in that regard. Dave PS ----> No, I am not suggesting everyone should always watch documentaries and such. But action films can be enhanced a lot by adding some decent intelligence to them IMO. |
