i have it...majority of the scary parts are shown in the trailer..its a really slow movie too so if u watch it..make sure ur awake and paying attention..
anyways..if u get scared at anything like me..it can be pretty damn freaky.. i can't wait to watch the remake of it with sarah michelle gellar!! |

too lazy to look at the trailer... but there is ju on 1 and ju on 2.
then the japanese remade the 2movies so there's 2 ju on 1's and ju on 2's. i thought americans were gonna remake ju on... but i guess they just brought the film overseas.... meh.. for a movie like that... there should only be a 20second trailer.. anything more completely ruins the movie and it's jump factor kuz u just saw it all. |

Like most Japanese films, this one is more hype then scare. I'm a huge fan of Extreme Asian Horror, and I've seen most of the big names. Ju-On was actually a made for tv movie, which was scary as fuck. You literally have trouble making it through the whole thing. Then there came a second and third tv movie, so the director got the green light to make a movie from the series. The movie is dumbed down a bit though, and not the best import.
Some titles you guys can rent or download: "Suicide Club" is probably the most disturbing, because it's a harsh critique of popular culture. "The Eye" is new, but a satisfying ghost story similar to 6th Sense. "Dark Water" does to water what Ringu did to television sets, you have trouble walking by it. "Battle Royale" is the most classic one , about school children given weapons on an island and told to kill each other for points. "The Audition" will give most of you a run for your money, you'll have difficulty not having nightmares for months after seeing it. Probably the most scary one I've seen. If nothing else, rent "Ringu" or any of the Ring series "Raesen" "Ringu 2" "Ringu: The Virus" . They're all good cheap fun. |

It's been in Japan for a year now, so if you have a good downloading program you can download the DVD quality version of it. Most asian movies you can get , almost a year before the american release. "Hero" with JetLi , I already have the DVD english version. Same with most foreign horror, I had 28 Days Later on my computer, DVD quality, before they even started previewing it in North America. |

the movie seems like a total caucasian's worst nightmare going into japan.
cheebus. battale royale was just more of an action flick than anything horror i thought. now suicide club... damn.. now we're talking... but i really got lost at the end of the movie.. can u explain it? those kids???? i really think ringu series is all dumb. ju on is dumb too but at least some of the images will bug u like the kid's face! the eye i really wanna check out kuz i know part 2 is out already. |

ty - rememeber back in churchill when the ring came out in japan and all the hongers in the school watched it and came back saying "holy fuck i was so scared i couldnt sleep" the big ype went around the school and i picked it up watched it went back to school and said to them "u fucking stupid wimps" freddy vs jason would of been scarier then that bs. omg a chick is slowly crawling out of the tv im so scared.

Most of the movie is mystery, nothing is fully explained. The chickens, the dark room, the undertaker taking strips of skin, is all very very mysterious. But the greater point of how popular culture, is teaching children to love material possesions over their own selves, is very pervasive in the film. |
