man, I harsh didn't think I'd be the first to post about this on FnK!
This film was written, directed and stars Zach Braff (of Scrubs the TV Show fame). As a directorial and screenplay debut, it's bloody fantastic, I thoroughly recommend tracking down a theatre playing it (As far as I know it's still playing at
TINSEL TOWN). What really made this move stand apart from me was how real the characters were, not like "This character is written to look like this person" but "this character acts like a real human being". They have flaws, they hide secrets and get embarassed, they're nervous around strangers, it's really quite refreshing. The film is also ridiculous funny in a quirky way that seems only possible in a novel, punchlines are never left to stagnate, but at the same time you never feel overwhelmed by the humor. The way in which the film is shot is also neat and clean as well as being just slightly unique, it doesn't drip art house flick, but it doesn't also chase hollywood status. You know what, just flat out go see it, it's just plain good.
