Straight up mod is give or take $100 hard drive install is like $20-$30 range unless u want to do it urself and save the cash.

as far as i know you cant use xbox live with a modded xbox, and xbox live is the reason to own an xbox.

lol some peoples reason to own an xbox is because of the xbox live. but for others its because you can chip it with a hd and just upload games. thats what made xbox pretty sweet for me atleast. but no matter what i am still a ps2 fan more and now that ps2 also has the hd upload capability its all overs.

too bad you cant use your hdd with the new upgraded ps2
imo xbox is a better system than the ps, but it's all personal preference

Most modchips, u can turn off the modchip and boot to the M$ dashboard to use xbox live. Well I know mine does.

Well there is no doubt xbox has better graphics among other things too. Then again the xbox did come out after the ps2. But u are absolutly rite about the personal preference. and mine is ps2 :)
