Lord Of The Rings

This movie is good. Really good. Finally a movie about good versus evil is released to the masses. Even if you haven't read the books, you still might enjoy the movie. There are a lot of scare scenes in the movie. They'll make some people jump. The movie is quite long at just over 2hrs and 35 min (including trailers), but it doesnt seem to go slow.

:Keebler:

The elves in the movie kick ass, there very skilled with the bow and arrow.

dude. you already saw the movie? didn't it just come out today?i'm sorry i just didn't like your post. i think that all ppl will enjoy this fine adventure, even those who haven't bothered to read the book a couple of times. the one thing that i don't like about the movie (well maybe there'll be more i haven't seen it yet) is that arwen is a main character, but i guess movies need hot chicks in them right?

It was actually really good in my opinion. And no, Arwen is not exactly a main character. She has her part, but it's not too long!

yeah it was an awesome movie, i just wish they hadn't of deleted parts of the book and added parts. all in all they did a good job though. i'll be picking the books back up again, maybe i'll trudge my way through the silmarillion again

I read the book, and I didn't enjoy the film as much as the book.

Two words - Harry Potter! The entire quartet is about good versus evil. Harry Potter and Albus Dumbledore vs. Voldemort!

But the grandeur of evil within the JRR.Tolkien trilogy is beyond a childerns book.

Yep, my brother jumped when we saw it. And my sister had nightmares. It was a family affair to see the film, since everyone except my twelve year old sister has read the trilogy.

Went by way too slow.

My favorite character, Legolas the elf! He's a hottie too.

:Kam: when i saw it all i could focus on were the differences between the books and the really horrible acting

i did not stop and appreciate the truly amazing sets and the difficulty in making an epic like this into a book( ie: Dune)

i read some reviews for LOTR that said that true tolkien fans have to see it a few times in order to really appreciate it
and that is just what i'm going to do

overall i thought the movie was fairly entertaining

first of all this was by far one of the worst posts that i have ever read on here, awful truly awful, worse than that farting post by that sebcoe character. you have never even seen the movie, read the books of both dune and lord of the rings. sigh, why oh why am i always surrounded by incompetent buffons? you call yourself a true tolkien fan? when was his bday and what country was he born in? now because some reviewer told you to go and see the movie, not once not twice, but a few times, you are going to? you are falling for their traps man. grow a brain and come back later hater.
