they're making it very very anime like you're right... sorta the goofy aspect in it....
like the roadrunner thing last episode...
they've had a few this year.

They're trying to change things up. I think this is the last season.

Or.. they're running out of ideas and now they're just throwing everything together.

The show's still good for laughs now and then.

I remember this one episode where Marge and Homer were trying to have sex but they couldn't because the kids kept following them. I was just shocked and disappointed at how blunt they were being about the whole thing. And it's such an old, cliché storyline!
