Having CS Problems
So i havnt played cs 1.6 for almost 2 years now. I just recently bought a new pc and well i figure ill do some csing just for old times sake. So i install my halflife, steam, and cs 1.6 and im ready to rock. I log onto a server no problem then got bored cause it was a rats only server. SO i find a bunch of seattle servers and saved them onto my favorites and try to log on and play. It wont connect after 3 attempts. So i figure it was just that servers problem. So i try another then another and just now after a nites sleep i try again and it still wont connect to any server after 3 attempts. anybody know whats wrong? wtf!?!?! Also i have no problems logging onto tfc and halflife servers, it is just cs for some reason.

I don't know, but I would suggestion first uninstalling Steam, then deleting the whole Valve folder from Program Files (if that's where you installed it in the first place), and then reinstalling Steam back and downloading CS through it. I think one of your configs might've gotten messed up somehow.

Most likely it is a configuration problem. Try connecting to our clan pub server, we have one of the fastest connections on the west coast (15 ping and lower)
-=[ETA]=- www.claneta.net Pub Server IP: 66.150.164.81:27015 If you can't get in, then I'd reinstall CS and Steam. |
