Star Wars 3: Revenge Of The Sith
I went and saw the midnight show last night and have to say I was amazed.....the effects were awsome......the acting got corney in a few spots but that in a way is to be expected of a Star Wars movie.......What made me really happy is how they wrapped up and solved all th questions everyone had concerning facts in the original 3 that were contradicted by things in episodes 1 and 2........The fight scenes were awsome and extremely well coreographed(sp?).........All in all I would have to give it 2 thumbs up........It stays true to the originals, ties off alot of loose ends and was just a generally amazing way of ending a Saga....I highly suggest going and seeing it (which most of you probably will) and I can't wait till the big box set of all 6 DVD's comes out in stores and the enevitable attempt to watch them all the way through in order with out falling asleep......but this is just what I thought.....lets hear what you thought

what??
Crazy Dave and I just got back from the 11:20 pm show a while ago..I really liked the movie. The special affects were great, the story line kept moving , the acting was all really well done..I would even go and see it again..If I had to critisize the movie at all I would have to say Obi Won had some really chessy lines and times and the dramatic scenes of Anikan and whats her name ( I don't even want to try and spell it ) were at times a lil corney..But over all I thought the movie was great..

1. HORRIBLE WRITING through-out the movie, especially between Anikin and Queen what's-her-nuts. It'd be 30 minutes of "HOLY CRAP! HOLY COOL! DAMN! SHIT! WHOA!" and then a 5 minute interlude of "holy crap, that line could have been delivered better with MacSpeak."
2. INCREIBLE effect, lots of "daaaaaaaaaaaaayyyymn" moments 3. R2D2 is f-in' awsome in this one as is Yoda and General Sidious was a rightiously badass-character 4. There were a few effects that were noticably fake, mainly whenever there were CGI in the fight scenes, you'd figure by now lucas would have gotten enough motion capture data to make a jedi doing a backflip not look like it's one smooth motion... Wire-Fighting anybody? 5. This one did the best job of conveying the vastest of some of the battles, Star-Destroyer battle at the beginning gets a huge thumbs up. |

yeah two thumbs up for that star destroyer battle. over all i liked the effects, and the "too good to be true" in the fights can just be pawned off as the effects of force powers :P it was corney in some parts but its a star wars film. and hey, they still had the younglings :D
i was impressed, this movie lived up to its hype finaly. ill buy the 6 DVD set. |

went and saw it finnaly last nite, and i must say i was quite impressed. deffinatly worth the money. the effects were very well done, i didn tfind that it dragged on, the story kept going and any/all loose ends were tied up. a few parts were a lil corney but all in all it was good stuff.=)
if i can afford it later i mite go see in a second time. Last edited by LeeBrat; May 24, 05 at 12:50 PM. |
