saw this movie on saturday night. i really liked it. i thought the filming was really great...lots of original stuff in there. my favourite shots were the ones where they did the split-image and had the two different tracks playing showing how a DJ mixes between two different records. that was really clever.

the coke badger was great, too. especially how when he was shot he bled cocaine.

my favourite character was wilde's producer. man that was was so funny with his stuttering and crazy stories and constant sweating. what a great actor...he stole every scene he was in.

the one thing i really really didn't like. and almost ruined the movie for me (luckily it was in the beginning and i could forget about it as the rest of the movie was so good) were the two austrian guys that worked with wilde on his album. they were just so horrible, it wasn't even funny. it was cheesy and it took the movie into the realm of bad saturday night live skit for the few scenes they were in. totally didn't click with the rest of the movie. yes, there is other weird stuff...but that weird stuff makes sense and it does in a comedic way; they were just utterly retarded and ruined a semi-serious scene when he first tells someone he's deaf.

4/5 stars

i didnt really like it.
cocaine badger was a riot though.

my favorite thing in the entire movie was the van-gough-esk painting of wilde and the picasso-esk painting.

I have to say I don't agree with Sidekick, those were the original two cast members from Fubar and I thought they were hilarious once again. Especially when asked to perform "trance" like lyrics over an album, that was priceless.

i know it was the two guys from fubar, but seriously, it totally didn't flow with the rest of the movie. it really did seem like two crappy SNL character stuck in the middle of a movie. there were some other odd characters in the film, but nothing compared to those guys...they were just unbelievable and crushed every scene they were in.

my opinion only :)

LOVED the inclusion of the Fubar guys, they were perfect pompous Austrians. The sweaty agent character was great too (forgot his name), reminds me of a few people i know in the industry.

all in all a great & hilarious film.

it was as good as i had expected it to be. I loved the split screen thing they did where you could see how he was gonna mix in the next track. and I loved how he trainwrecked when he was deaf.
