of all the systems ive ever owned, my here's the current ranking (none of these systems are bad, this is just ordert of preference):
1) genesis 2) gameboy 3) ps 4) ps2 5) gba 6) dreamcast 7) xbox none of those systems are bad systems. ive played each extensively, and have had fun witha ll of them. my ranking was mostly based on two factors, which systems have good games and which systems capture my interest. the xbox i have is pretty. but what does it have going for it? doa3 and a half-life clone called halo. the only game on the horizon i can get all nipply over is jet set radio future... maybe a sports game. sega makes great games and those games are the only reason the dreamcast sold at all. (shenmue! maybe i can look forward to shenmue2 on the xbox as well) the gba is a great system, i just dont have much time to play it. the games are so small and get lost easily. im sure this will eventually replace gameboy as i play it more. ps2 is the current shizzle. nuff said. it has the games and the dev support. hooray. playstation had ff7, ff9, fftactics, chrono cross, and a host of other great games. the first system i experienced the addiction that is tony hawk on. my beloved gameboy. i love thee still, even iff i play your games on my gba now. the genesis. sega had the best rpgs and sports games. hands down. the only thing nintendo had on its side was square. blah blah blah. r. |

n64 has proven to be by far the best all around system I ever owned, and I owned them all! its got the multiplayer down FLAT, best multiplayer system I ever owned!!
genesis? naaaa, was okay... but I never liked it, only system I ever sold too! SNS VERY FUN! Second best system I ever owned! I had an Atari WAY back in the day... played it way to much, but I don't remember what happened to that! |

xbox is actually quite awesome
i can see that for the average gamer, the xbox night seem a little intimidating, it is quite large.
BUt where would you expect them to keep that 8 gig hard drive?? or the standard broadband connection??? or the standard 4 controller ports?? and of course its true that the xbox doesnt have games such as metal gear solid, gta3, or any ff games, but things are looking up, with impressive titles, such as: doa3, JSRF, Halo, Wreckless, UFC tap out, and upcoming games like : the star wars rpg, deus ex 2, shenmue 2, soul calibur 2, rainbow six 3, doom 3, and project ego of course. i wont disagree with the argument that the pspoo has countless more games, but for a gamer such as my self who wants the cutting edge, in graphics, sound, and online play, the xbox is the way to go. did somebody say online halo?? and lamecube???what a piece of trash. |
