Rent - On the Big Screen

I still have goosebumps :) This movie was freakin phenominal!!! I will go and see it again and again until I know it word for word. Every song from the movie is totally stuck in my head.

*sigh* such a good way to end a Thursday and start a Friday :)

I'm hesitant, as I've seen "Rent" live on broadway in NY.

I'm sorry but there's no way it can live up to that.

Hey Jim.... I like ya but it's getting redundant having you pop in to so many threads talking about how you did it 'better, faster, stronger, longer...blah blah blah'.... NOBODY LIKES A BRAGGART!

I've seen Rent live, albeit it was only in Vancouver and not on Broadway, and I loved it. I actually picked up the soundtrack cd years before I ever saw it live. The songs are great. I mostly enjoy the fact that it's a Broadway musical inspired by my generation and FOR my generation rather than an oldie like Les Mis, Phantom or Cats (not that they're bad).

What I'm curious about with the movie is this.... is it identical or do they expand on the story a bit to make it translate better into a movie?

i still haven't seen the movie, i will on the weekend......but i am not haveing high expectations....

First off , it's the entire original broadway cast, minus two members. Secondly you're not a "rent-head" and they've been giving it rave reviews.
Albeit , it won't be as good as the broadway show, but saying that is no excuse not to see the cinematic version.

there are two fundamental problems with the popular breakfast cereal called, "captain crunch"

1. it gets soggy too fast in milk.

2. if you eat it quick enough not to get soggy you cut the roof of your mouth.
