PSP & Sony

PSP's are wicked, they can now recieve RSS feeds off of the internet. Cant wait for the camera to come out. the PSP was the best thing i bought so far. It is waaay multifunctional. Well worth the billz i spent for it. The usability will keep increasign with the Camera comign out soon, then the Navigation unit. Then full compatibility with the PS3.

Sony will never stop making upgrades it seems. its wicked. Cant wait to see what they come out with next.

The upgradeabiltiy makes me want the PS3 even more. If Sony did this with a handheld device, imagine what they can do with a full system.

I've read in PS3 preview articles that certain games for the PS3 will make use of the PSP, much like the Gamecube does with Gameboys.

I am also happy with my PSP purchase. A couple of minor gripes with it (battery life could be a couple of hours longer, and actual size of the unit) but nothing serious.

Long live Sony.

longer battery life = larger battery = larger unit.
can anyone tell me how fps games are on the psp? i was thinking about getting socom but i dont know how well it would play on a handheld.
and from ign.com:
In addition, SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs: Fireteam Bravo is one of the first titles for PSP to offer interoperability with PlayStation 2 through SOCOM 3: U.S. Navy SEALs in "crosstalk" objectives. Objectives completion in one SOCOM game will affect the overall play experience in both games. Once a crosstalk task is completed, the player will be notified and able to sync mission critical data from PSP to PlayStation 2 through a USB connection.

the only complaint i have about the psp is the limited storage capacity on the memory sticks,

right now the largest stick you can buy is 2 gigs, keep in mind that you can get the 4 gig hd add-on (but it looks ugly, adds to the size and weight of the sleek and slim psp)

its honeslty a sweet piece of machinery.

actualy sony manufactured a battery that will be on the market real soon, that will support upto supposedly 5 times the original. but i have no complaints of bettery life, i dont care to compare it to any gameboy, because psp is in its own league, for music my battery lasts clearly way over 10 hours continuous. for games its different, older games suck up more power where as games like socom i can play for about 5 hours before full dead battery. But I am looking into getting that longer battery. And it is the same size as the original battery.

Not necessarily. I saw a battery @ Toys R Us for the PSP that is the same size as the original battery pack, and it supposedly lasts "20% longer" than the original (different chemicals inside i'm assuming). I didn't feel it was worth 30 dollars though.

I'm certain that Sony will release an even better battery at some point in the future. Until then, I'll have to live with having to recharge my PSP every night. Thank goodness it charges super fast.

They're pretty much priced the same everywhere. $299 for the value pack, but i recommend you get the GigaPack. It comes with a 1GB memory stick and only costs $350. Hell of a deal if you ask me. If you go to EB Games or a similar store you can find a used one for about $230 for the value pack.

socom is pretty decent for one analog stick, two would have just been too crowded.
