Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones

I'm not quite done with this game yet, but it is friggin amazing. It blends the best elements from the prior two games, the story telling and music from the first with the dual character storyline and expanded combat engine from the second, alongside the platforming puzzles from both.

No longer are you trapped in a huge castle/prison/island/whatever, you get to fight all across Babylon, on rooftops, in and out of a massive number of buildings, courtyards and the castle itself. There is a wide variety of mini-games and a stronger focus on speed, stealth and strategy. A new stealth kill system pays homage to the minigames of God of War and Resident Evil 4 and actually pays off in the long run by taking one or more brutal sand creatures out of the equation.

The new "Dark Prince" plays well into this game. His attacks are far stronger than the normal Prince's but the downside is that he loses health as time passes. Hence, you must make kills, smash vases and whatnot to collect sands at a steady pace when playing as him.

Anyway, I like it! I've heard that it is the perfect ending to the trilogy and I can't wait until finals are over so that I can whoop the living shit out of the remaining few hours to see for myslef. If you played the other two, regardless of what you thought of the second one, at least rent this game. It is a solid purchase as well, if like myself, you consider yourself a collector.

Oh btw you're a pussy if you don't beat this game on HARD. Nuff said.

I loved the first one.
Rented the second and got about half way through, got stuck/lost jumping around between the past and present and got raped without having a close by load point. Pretty much ruined the game for me.

I modded my xbox with a softmod, broke my xbox during POP3, waiting for my modchip part to come in before I can play it again

I wasnt a fan of the chases in pop2 but i played the sands of time 6 times over.
When my box was working, pop 3 was fuckin sweet.. I almost cried.

Funny enough, got the sands of time for x-mas... really like it but find the fight engine not quite up to speed with the second one's... pretty hard to fight four or five of those guards at once too.

actually the psp game is a remake of warrior within, with a few additional sections of castle, very minimal changes to anything besides the quality of gameplay...

you have to figure out how to get up on each of the two opposite sides of the stadium thing you are in. find the points closest to him that you can get and the screen should go grey. Multi hit stealth kills are in order...

i'm stuck on the part where you ride the chariot then eventually jump off to fight the 2 huge motherfuckers... one with an axe and one with the sword...

i get that you gotta attack the guy with the sword and the axe guy gets his axe stuck on the ground... then you go crazy on him.... then the speed attack.... but i keep dying right after the speed attack. so fucking hard!

you just gotta werk em dood. when it comes down to it, you really should be coming into the battle with full life and at least 3 rewinds. if you don't have that, i'd go back to a save point where you do have it (hopefully you keep a list of saves) and try again, keeping this battle in mind. Ultimately i had to re-do the chariot race in order to have 2 sands and then it still took me about 4 hours to finally beat those fucks.
