Silent Hill
Thank you for scaring the hell out of my girlfriend. :429:
I super enjoyed it. one or two little cheesy acting bits but nothing major at all. i think one music score choice mistake. but other than that CREEPY AS ALL HELL. and not cheesy creepy like rob zombie. i mean like .. really creepy. complimented the game very nicely, alot of bang on set designs. looks like they were taken right from the game. i think im gonna play it again actually. if you enjoyed the game you will enjoy the movie. (those little screaming babies still make me shudder)

I saw it last night.
Visuals/effects are kind of cool, big ups on the creepy factor! Acting was absolute shite combined with piss poor script writing and a slowly developed stupid plot. Despite the fact that is was a stupid movie, I still had to grab onto my bf during the creepy parts and had weird dreams last night. haha. but go see it if you want to get creeped out, be warned that most of the movie is spent with the 'story'!

totally creepy.
but your right. they could have cut the whole "real world" stuff with the husband and cop right out. granted, no movies in this genre are really good in terms of acting or script. so based on its next best competitors, i think it rates well.

They added the "real world" stuff due to a rewrite. When they first sent the script in, they got a mark that said "No men." So they had to add the Sean Bean character.
Anyway, I'm tired so I'll make this short. Visuals were fucking excellent. The atmosphere was excellent. The creepiness was excellent. The story was great, but it was a little convoluted, some things seemed forced. The acting was mediocre. I expected much better from Sean Bean. The little girl was cheesy. I found some scenes to be really disturbing. The kind of gore here is not the flashy sensationalized kind *cough*Hostel*cough*, instead, it's the gritty, realistic (to an extent) disturbing, twisted kind. Also the kind of horror is hard to categorize. It's not quite a supernatural nor psychological. Nor slasher/gorefest. Like the game, it's a good mix of suspense, and just pure disturbing horror. I loved how some of the soundtrack was taken from the game. Blah anyway bad review, but bed time for me. I want to see this again. LOVED the monsters. 4.5/5

i saw this last night
im not a fan of scary movies, my date wanted to go.. so we went i covered my eyes at all the gory parts and hid beside him.. myra is right if you wanna be creeped out this is the movie for you the ending was kinda stupid.. i'v never played the game so i had no idea what to expect..

ok..this is really out there and i can't remember were i heard this or if its even true but.. supposedly the games were peiced together by using detailed descriptions of some crazy persons nightmares. apparently this mentally unstable individual has some sort of condition that makes it so he just has insane nightmares.. so each morning he writes em down. haha if thats true i feel really sorry for that person.
