Vincent Price films
They don't make horror movies like those anymore. The man was a genious, a brilliant actor, and his voice sent shivers up my spine when I was little.
The Fly Return of The Fly The Bat House on Haunted Hill Dr Phibes Rises Again Pit and the Pendulum fuck.. sooo many good movies, and soo many good TV appearances. Especially on Alfred Hitchcock Presents. He's the reason modern horror doesn't do anything for me. |

haha...you scare me, i'll say that much. I was thinking of making a thread about him a few days ago... It's always the eerie twitch of his eyebrow that pushes me over the edge.. And the calmness when he spoke...that always made it so much worse.

What really got me was in Dr Phibes Rises Again when he would plug the french-horn like device into his neck so he could speak, and he'd eat through something on his throat that he hid with his collar.
Keeping his dead wife preserved in a casket until the time was right to ressurect her was creepy too at the age I watched it. |

You could start with White Zombie..heh..
Not one of the best Lugosi films out there in my opinion, but still...OH the irony.. harr de harr, but the SOUNDS in that one..the crushing bones in combination with the ancientness of the film.. I always thought Martin Landau did a great job as Bela Lugosi in Ed Wood. |
