I learned the Hot Patootie Hand Jive in Las Vegas with 500 of the most die-hard Rocky fans you'd ever care to meet from all over the world.

The Japanese cast's floorshow was surreal. Weird fucked up hybrid of Rocky and Shock Treatment... God the Japanese are fucked up.

that's deadly. I wonder if I can still do a fluent Time Warp. Hot Patootie was definately the best song on the soundtrack. I fucking love Meatloaf's music.

^^ The umbrella line was actually the first AP line ever... some guy just blurted it out one night at the Waverly in NYC, and the rest is supposedly history.

Hot Patootie's wicked, though Meatloaf didn't write it. Amusing story about it though, before they did any filming the whole cast was in the studio recording the soundtrack. When Meatloaf comes in Richard O'Brien (played Riff Raff, also wrote the play and music) tells him "You're going to have to skip some syllables... there's no way you can fill it into the time." and Meatloaf just starts singing every single last syllable and crams it in there. Fucking talented vocalist, that one is.

I knew O'Brien wrote the soundtrack, I just thought Hot Patootie was an exception. It's amazing the similarities between the soundtrack and Meatloaf's tunes.

And he is a hell of a vocalist. Paradise By the Dashboard Light proves it.

I still have footage of you on my old video cam. on our way to Candy Luv? way up in hopeish ariea (i think) on the raver bus: singing "time warp" and I completely forgot the lyrics.

The first time I ever saw Rocky live.. I hadent ever seen the movie.. or heard the song They stuck me in a Magenta costume.. ratted my hair and told me to play along.

Sense that day... Riff Raff has always been my biggest sexual fantasy.
