Thank you for your words of appreciation and support. I am currently trying my very hardest to get as many gigs as possible, but these fucking promoters seem to have difficulty in recognising talent. I am however going to be playing at Sonar on October the 6th alongside my good friend Ollie Ple, who is also a very talented DJ. Hopefully I will see you there.

Dude, those tracks you sent me are pretty dope, I have to admit I prefer the funkier stuff though, the last 20 minutes of my mix aren't my favourite tracks. Not to say they are bad though, I think my years of playing soulful / funky house put a barrier against me playing minimal / full on electro stuff. I prefer a track you can sing along to, or at least hum the tune...

That said, the dark stuff seems to go down well over here in Vancouver, so maybe that's what I'm gonna have to start playing more...

Well if you prefer soulful house then it's no suprise you're not overly keen on this. It's pretty tough trying to please everyone with just one mix - I would prefer to stick to the full on funky stuff but to get gigs at more than one place you need to play a wide range of stuff. Maybe I should do a funky demo and an electro demo...

yea the darker sound is what goes in Italy/Germany right now.... minimal electro.... there was too much happy/funky house in the last years, either people are gettin bored of it or they take speedier drugs...hehe

There's no chance I'm gonna head down the minimal electro route, I try to stick to the funkier side of electro house, if that makes any sense at all. At least playing tracks with a bit of a tune in them instead of all beeps and whistles...
