As for bookings. Hardstyle is a pretty hard genre to break into to get bookings, espically in Vancouver. But I would need to hear your stuff first. Guess I missed the memo! |

Yeah I know its hard for bookings, not a lot of people like hardstyle around here, like ive said before, most likely I am moving to the netherlands. So it would be easier to get hardstyle and hardcore bookings over there but still hard, just a lot easier though |

Got around giving this mix a listen today - and I gotta say this is a very good attempt for your third time spinning hardstyle. Overall it's an interesting mix.
A few things - there were a few dodgy mixes in some places and a few perfect mixes in other places. I personally think that you need to keep both tracks playing at the same time with the bass cut on the incoming track longer than you do and avoid very sudden cuts into the next track. The end part was a bit confusing - I couldn't tell if the mix into the last track was you trying to beat juggle between the last and second last tracks or if the mixdown turned out to be choppy for whatever reason. One final thing on criticism is that you need to keep your volume levels more consistent between tracks and not have a roller coaster of a mix due to poor quality levels of some tracks - in which case, you go to Sound Forge, and fix them up! Anyway, all in all this was a cool mix. I like your idea of the robotic voice in the beginning and in the end - nice touch. Alright bro - keep it up! |

One point which I wish I had of mixed better was when I backspinned to the green stuff, I had it going good but should have mixed it together with the lyrics |

And... Dont ever backspin Hardstyle. For every backspin I hear you do, I WILL KILL YOU! |

Review time!
The intro with the electronic voice was a neat touch. The mix seemed to take a little long to get going. As in you had some chill tracks at the start then all of a sudden it droped a pretty good bassline. To all of a sudden I thought. The mixing was kinda touch and go. It really hurt the sound of the tracks you used without having the mixes go all the way though. And because of that I thought it sounded like the track selection didnt flow. However you did have some quality tracks in there, I was impressed to hear a few of them. I think you just need some practice. But sounds like your on the right track! |

Man o Man... file factory sucks...
Do you have a website?? Because im thinking of setting up a new domain name for local vancouver djs as i currently host 2 djs off of my current domain... i was thinking VanDjs.com so anyone who agreed to get hosted would show up under... (for exmaple) www.Glassball.VanDjs.com cost would be minimal to free for anyone looking to get hosted... download speeds superior and a personal website and forums that are completely customizable... I know simple html and have made a few websites but if anyone wanted a website built by them i would simply upload that... I would probably offer FTP access so that website updates could be done by the DJ himself if he knows how for a small price (less than 5 $) so long he dint touch any of the other files on the site. |

P.S. My computer has some odd programs installed which i have for various reasons but prevent me from downloading certain things (depending on file type) as they try and play as a media file instead... and im having that problem with your download on filefactory.. and it doesnt want to seem to load so im getting a black box :| where there should be a download

Thank you for your review project one, those are some good tips, and I will try and do some longer mixing next time. I was kinda trying to imitate more how the pro's do it a lot but guess not the same yet :P So no backspinning hardsyle? Alright ill try not to ;) Lookout for a new mix before the new year! New and improved! |
