FUTURE ROOTS is a diverse collective of talented artists sharing a vision of elevating the profile of underground music in the eyes and ears of the masses. Members situated in Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary and worldwide can be found pushing the sounds of DRUM and BASS, jungle, breakbeats, hip hop, jazz, reggae, dance hall and funk. Slim Pickins and Pete Flex are the leaders of this movement which has brought a needed dash of fresh blood to Vancouver's jungle scene and they'll be in studio this evening to rinse it out and and talk about Funktion fridays, their new Friday night at Cyber Night Club.

Hour 2: Motomasa, Lady Eve and Kuma (Art Of Beatz)

The usual assortment of Pubstep, Progressive Schnauss, Rum and Ass, Acid Brass and further calls to arms against mediocre dance music.

We're giving away a ton of tickets tonight as well. We've got a pair for the Safety Scissors and PJ Poothoots show at Wanted! at the Lotus next Thursday and I'm pretty sure the Future Roots lads will have tix to give away for their upcoming shows with DJ Lord and Ray Keith.
