Pretty solid mix dood!!! I was bumpin' it from start to finish. I usually dont do that with dnb mixes...I only like a certain kind..and you nailed it right on the head.
And I dont listen to much dnb/jumpup. Can't wait to see you lay down some of these beats @ winterbreak! Last edited by Pennywise; Jan 18, 07 at 06:26 PM. |

thanks Frank. I enjoyed some of my old favorites but didn't here anything new that I really liked. I just downloaded that World Dance compilation from 97 and didn't expect to hear the tunes on any new mixes but sure enough you were bumping them! Just a suggestion but maybe next time try and throw some tracks in there that would separate your mix from all the other DnB mixes out there. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I hear a lot of good mixes but few that are really good. As an example check out that Hot Butter mix by Sticky Buds. He had lots of fresh tracks in there, some good samples, and some familiar remixes. I think something like that would go over really well live. Anyway thanks for the mix!

Unfortunately im not as priviledged as a lot of the other bigger named dnb dj's in Van, so i can only get the records as they come out, not prior.

http://www.discogs.com/release/122589 down load this! tons of old school gems on it. I'm pretty sure that Kenny Ken was a remix originally from this album. Also I'm not saying you need shit hot off the press to make a good mix. Just that none of the tracks were especially amazing to me. But I've been bored by a lot of drum and bass these days so it could just be that.
