So I was going to sit on this mix till our website was redesigned, but I've been dabbling on this mix for the last 3 months or so and really want to just put it out there...

So here's a 2-hour studio mix focusing on a bunch of reggae/dancehall-influences, breakbeat, grime, hiphop, electro, jungle and various other styles that have been appealing to me lately. It's a bit of a slow-burner but I think it pays off... Hope y'all enjoy this!

I've seen longer on 2hour mixes but that's def up there. In order to beat that I'd have to look to DJ Shadow, Scratch Perverts, Cut Chemist... basically those super-skilled DJs that lay down like three tracks a minute...

yea, i thought about firing through all the mixes just to wave my peni... er tracklisting size around, but I decided to let some of the tracks and blends breathe on this mix...

Especially on serato... it's super easy to mix out within seconds of dropping a record...

Nowhere near as quick as the hip-hop jocks though.

Techno DJs are all about playing out records. Granted, they might do like 5 or 6 records at once, but they tend to play those records out for all they're worth.

And yeah, Serato bases its mapping of MP3s on the noise produced by the source discs, so whatever your pitch adjusts to on the turntables it adjusts to in the software automagically.
