In the early months of 1995 dance culture was very much in its youth and still an underground movement, the energy was raw and growth was exponential. It was in this era where Chuck la Vida experienced his first taste of beautiful electronica. For the next five years he followed the movement veraciously experiencing countless djs and producers, studying and analyzing the culture and the music. Stepping behind the decks in 2000, Chuck la Vida quickly picked up the skill and quickly began building his resume. Winning consecutive dj competitions Chuck la Vida earned many residencies over the following 4 years in some of western Canada’s busiest electronic nights. As well in 2000, Chuck la Vida created and maintained a successful production company known as team techno, which employed multiple djs and managed many successful weekly events. After taking time off to travel through the UK, Prague, Barcelona and Ibiza Chuck la Vida moved to Vancouver to continue a professional audio career. Utilizing both audio engineering and sound design diplomas Chuck la Vida has been winning over dance floors consistently with his trademark funky bumpin’ sound, most recently headlining major events in conjunction with clubvibes.com. With his high energy stage presence and turntable mastery, Chuck la Vida’s passionate endeavor of electronic music continues to please, expect nothing but the best.

Hour 2: The AOB Soundsystem (Lady Eve, Motomasa, Kuma)

As many of you know, Soundwave is coming July 10-12, 2009 in Ucluelet, and this year, the full Art of Beatz crew will be there! We will be spinning at the Chill Zone stage Sunday morning. Our own purveyors of ambience Gunshae will also be doing a live performance.

This year's event also features Space Time Continuum/Reagenz, Hataken/Ken Machines from Japan, Calibre from Ireland, Dieselboy, Mat the Alien, Lopazz from Germany, and much more!

Also, pre-Soundwave, TKG presents FWDSNDWAV on July 10 featuring Move D, Jonah Sharp, Hataken and Mesheen for a night of techno at an undisclosed location in Vancouver! The location will be announced the day of the show at Sound/Word/Vision : The Konspiracy Group:
